Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. – Albert Camus
I love everything about Autumn. The leaves, the smell of leaves burning, the decorated pumpkins, Fall Festivals, Halloween, football season, and scarecrows. The beautiful weather we are having is making this Fall Season so much better than most. It’s not too hot or too cold, it’s just right!
My weekend was so much fun. I went to my first Fall Festival of the season in Cullman, AL. Cullman is such a beautiful city with a wonderful history of German settlements. This festival was based on Cullman’s German heritage and they had all different kinds of activities set up for everyone and had all different kinds of shopping booths set up as well. We went in to a museum that was about Cullman and it was so interesting learning about their history.
Cullman is such a cute town with all these cute little shops and Boutiques downtown. We went into an antique shop that was just amazing. The people that owned that shop will go into old abandoned homes and get old doors, door knobs, windows, fire places, old furniture, etc. I could’ve bought that whole store if I had a million dollars. They had this beautiful piano as soon as you walked through the door that was for sale and it was real old with beautiful trimming on it… I just wished that i had the $800 they were asking for though. LOL!
Of course, at every fall festival you go to, they will have a hay stack full of pumpkins and other Autumn decorations on it so you can take photos… So that’s just what we did in the above picture. The cheesy Autumn photo op! (Starting from left to right: Me, my brother Nick, and my mama)
Sunday’s are usually my “Relax before another week of work” day. So, that’s just what I did!
I decided to do Fall Pictures of my pups. They’re just naturals at the whole modeling thing. It was really windy yesterday, so they knew how to work the wind affect. It’s never easy to take both of them out at the sametime because for some reason, they just want to sit there and sniff each other and copy where the other is going. So what I did, I got a big handful of treats and I took each dog out one at a time. Deita (My german shepherd) was the first one I took out and she was so excited about being on the other side of the fence. She was so good too. I honestly didn’t need a treat to make her do what she needed to do because she obeyed to everything I was saying and doing. She’s such a good girl… And beautiful, if I do say so myself.
After I was done with Deita, I moved on to my little boy Bobby (the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). He was so excited because he knew he would be receiving some treats. He was so in to getting his picture taken… He was really working it!!!
It’s just something about taking pictures of my dogs that puts me into such a happy mood. They are always so joyful and full of life. Bobby’s happy face can make anybody smile and feel happy. Deita’s personality can make you feel so happy and carefree. When people ask me why I am so happy all the time, I always say that my dogs make me this way. The mixture of both pups can make anyone happy and relaxed and carefree. That’s why I always relate to the saying “A dog is a man’s best friend.” Even though I’m not a “Man,” they still are my best friends and they will never leave my side. Such brilliant little creatures I have!
So, that’s my weekend! Let’s just hope that my work week is as good as my weekend.
I hope everyone has a wonderful week and stay safe!
